31.10.2023

Verena Pichler has been awarded the City of Vienna Grant in the category of Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Technology (MINT). The prize has been awarded annually since 1947 and is endowed with 4,000 euros to honour young scientists. The award is a recognition of the previous scientific achievements of the prize winners and is intended to encourage them in their future careers.

Verena Pichler is Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Neurochemistry at the Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Vienna, and Programme Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Pharmaceutical Quality Management. Her research focuses on the development of molecules for functional medical imaging. The methods developed are used to non-invasively investigate current research topics, such as the impact of microplastics on the human organism, and to further develop technologies to accelerate drug development.

We congratulate!
