Drug Discovery from Nature

The objective of this key research area is to identify new active agents from nature (plants, microorganisms, etc.) and to understand their mechanisms of action using a broad spectrum of models and methods ranging from in silico experiments to in vivo imaging approaches. Smart delivery strategies are necessary to develop active agents for future medicines.
